We are embracing retirement, and making the most of it.

We knew we were never going to sit still for long, so whilst we are happy and healthy we will be out and about seeing the world………… full time.

Fun Fact #6 Outback Headstones

Australia’s most famous Aboriginal landscape artist Albert Namatjira (1902-1959) was born in the Lutheran Mission of Hermmansburg, just outside of Alice Springs and mainly painted the scenery found in the West MacDonnell Ranges. He is buried in Alice Springs.


This unusual headstone marks the grave of Harold Bell Lasseter died in 1931 in the Peterman Ranges. He is renowned for finding a gold reef in 1911, but died in 1931 looking for it again, and the story has now become a legend as people continue to search for his reef. Google his interesting story, which has been the focus of movies, a documentary, and songs.


This child died at birth. Such an appropriate marker.
