We are embracing retirement, and making the most of it.

We knew we were never going to sit still for long, so whilst we are happy and healthy we will be out and about seeing the world………… full time.

We are out of the fast lane and taking the slow road ahead

Bli Bli to Bribie

Too wet to head inland we spent one week perched on the Maroochy River in the unpowered section (last available spot in the whole van park), but it came with awesome river views. We lolled away the week relaxing, walking, and checking out display homes and furniture to get some ideas for our upcoming reno.  Every day people fished on the river and did not catch anything, so we did not get our rods out.

The weather was lovely for the whole week, we did a 7km wetlands trail along the river (twice)

A walk along Mudjimba Beach……beautiful pandanus tree

And then on to Bribie Island to park up at a very dear friend’s home. They live on the surf side, and only a few metres from the beach, we enjoyed daily walks with them, and their great company.  It was lovely to see them again, usually our catch ups are in our caravans somewhere along the Qld coast.

Explored many sides of Bribie..Glass House Mountains in the background

Some by push bike…..with their culdesac bike riding group

Our van tucked away nicely…whilst we flew to Cairns for a week for our grand daughters 5th Birthday
