We are embracing retirement, and making the most of it.

We knew we were never going to sit still for long, so whilst we are happy and healthy we will be out and about seeing the world………… full time.

We are out of the fast lane and taking the slow road ahead

A Snapshot of Cairns...Part 1

On New Years Eve Derek made a round trip to Brisbane and brought back with him our 2 oldest grand kiddies, Jenna 12, and Jordan almost 11.

They were allowed to stay for 2 full weeks, which gave us plenty of time to have some awesome adventures discovering the Cairns region.  Besides iceskating and rollerskating, visiting baby Blake and spending time swimming at our Resort Apartment, here are some happy snaps:

Botanic Gardens

Atherton Tablelands Waterfall hopping after cyclone Imogen had passed through.
Barron Falls

Milla Milla and Malanda Falls

Curtain Fig Tree

Cathedral Fig Tree
( the lengths I go to for the perfect photo.....)

Hartleys Croc Adventures

The beautiful Cassowary

Rex Lookout looking over the coastal road to Port Douglas

Awesome photo opportunity after finding a geocache

Time to build a cairn at Ellis Beach

Night Markets souvenir shopping after dinner at Schnitz on the Esplanade

View of Walsh’s Pyramid from Behana Gorge, Cane fields and low lying clouds

The Pyramid 5 minutes later

End of week one....
