We have also had a great fun catch up with my brother, and cousin and did some family reminiscing. We miss family and friends dearly when on the road.
Looking back toward Sandgate/Brighton where we lived prior to 2000.
We are having 8 nights on the beach front at Woody Point, where we are hoping to get a little fitter doing morning beach walks. But, summer is pretty precarious, there are the horrendous bush fires, storms, current king tides and strong winds, and more much needed rain on its way. So we take each day as it comes. We are catching up on reading, family history, and if the weather is nice we hope to get our bikes out for a ride whilst here.
The HMQS Gayundah wreck, (built in Newcastle on Tyne 1884, at Woody Point, slowly giving in to erosion. Ironically it was beached here in 1958 to help prevent erosion.
