Bald Rock NP

Over 20 years since our last climb, forgot how steep it was. Stong winds and still unfit but made it up and back within the hour. Fabulous views well worth the effort. By the way, we were the only 2 on the rock, gotta luv mid week, mid afternoon, mid winter sightseeing.

Mt Panorama and Lithgow

Two laps of Mt Panorama at Bathurst after a comfy night sleep in MaDric.  A few photo opportunities as we had the track to ourselves most of the time. A quick geocache find at the top of the Mount with fabulous views over the city. Motor race museum was great too. Lunch in Lithgow after Hassan Falls lookout, most west scape of the Blue Mountains.  Sydney traffic as we skirted the city for 45 minutes,  aahhhhh, barely seen a traffic light in 8 weeks.  

Seriously, people have farms in the centre of the track.  Someone's idea of heaven.

Junee/Blaney NSW

After a sad goodbye this morning we headed north. Spent a couple of hours at the Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory. Made some tasty rocky road, had lunch walked around the old Ford Garage and found a cache.  Drove on to Blaney through some very rustic villages and beautiful undulating green countryside. Would love to have stopped and explored a lot of towns. Blaney is just south of Bathurst where we are camping for the night in MaDric our van.

Heading North - next road trip

Yarrawonga, Soccer, Country roads

Soccer was away at Yarrawonga on the Murray, 1 hour away so we made the most of a lunch of cakes and cookies on Lake Mulwala, and a country road drive home taking all the back roads. The roads are great, the scenery pretty and no traffic at all. Also came across one of the many 'Hovell' places in this region.

Making Memories

Mt Hotham, Victoria

We promised ourselves and the children a trip to the snow as it is only 3 1/2 hours from Finley. Too good an opportunity to miss. It has been 10 years since we skied, as we babysat the too youngest when we were up here at Dinner Plains Mt Hotham 3 years ago. Great 2 1/2 hour lesson, surprised how well we did. Not too cold either, nice and sunny.
